This is the real deal, I have no words to express my gratitude. I am a bread lover and after keto I thought I had to give it up for good. But no, this recipe makes the most amazing keto bread, it is just like regular bread without the amount of carbs! I love it, thank you so much!! You are the best.

According to exploratorium.edu 1Tbsp = 14 grams and not 8. I only bring that up because some people might use a regular spoon to scoop out ingredients into a bowl in their cooking scale.

Leave out the Xanthan gum too . its not needed . The vital gluten is more than enough to make it the same texture as real bread

I must be doing something wrong, firstly the dough is very sticky and I can’t hold it without getting it all over my hands.
Secondly, after 1 hour 30mins it didn’t rise at all. I got tired and it’s in the oven now , waiting for the outcome.

I must say this is my second time of making this bread and it’s the same challenge I get every time. Any pointers to what I should look out for?
    Thanks.

The yeast was just purchased same day that I tried this recipe. I did go ahead and bake it and it “inflated” by the end of the baking period but then quickly deflated after removing it from the oven. It’s pretty compact, dense and heavy but actually tastes really good. I ordered a new digital thermometer and will try again with the water at 120 degrees.

UPDATE: Well I received my new digital thermometer today and checked it with my old thermometer and, as it turns out, my old thermometer reads a whopping 15 degrees lower than actual temperature! So, when I thought I was adding the yeast to 130 degree water I was actually adding those poor yeast to a searing 145 degree water. May those yeast Rest In Peace. Thank you Keto King for your kind help. I will post an update of my next attempt.

Tried my first loaf……didn’t rise one bit. Followed directions to a T. Water was 130 degrees when I added the yeast. Maybe my thermometer is off? Really disappointed. Should I just throw it out or should I go ahead and bake it? I can’t imagine it will be edible if I do.

Before I tackle making this bread, do you have a written procedure to make it? My wife has a hard time baking from a video. I noticed that this bread is not included in your booklet on great keto breads.

I made this bread today and I'm sorry to report that the bread did not rise despite the method Keto King suggested. Mind you, I live in Hawaii where it's already fairly hot and definitely humid. I was diligent on replacing the hot water every 10 minutes but the bread did not rise even close to a half an inch. I know my yeast was very active; it grew in the measuring cup once it started eating the honey. Don't know what else to do.

HEEEEEEEEEEEELP! Every time I try it it's not rising, the dough is too liquid. Don't know what I'm doing wrong. Tastes awesome anyway, love it, not so keen on almond meal bread or coconut flour, but the texture is a bit too dense.

For perfect bagels….decrease the flax seed by half. Omit the butter. Roll into 9 equal size balls. (70 gr each) Poke hole in center with finger and stretch out a hole. Let rise 1 hr. (In humid place with water for steam) Boil in salted water with 1 tsp of baking soda added to water, 1 min on each side. Place on cooling tray to drain. Brush with egg wash. top with sesame seeds . Bake 425 degrees for 20 mins. Awesome bagels 🙂
****** after they are boiled WORK FAST brushing on the wash and adding topping as they will deflate a bit if they sit too long. *******

Well I have to say that bread looks amazing and fluffy, but can't afford staying more than 2 hours replacing water on the micro every 10-15 mins, but yes, it probably the best bread I've seen so far.

I’ve made four batches of this including rolls with golden flax meal. Honestly this is the best – no the only – recipe you need. All others are disgusting eggy goop. This is almost indistinguishable from flour bread. Makes lovely toast too for my low carb jam! Thanks for posting.

I tried this recipe for the first time this past weekend.  I doubled the recipe and made them bun-size for a multi-family barbeque.  It was the talk of the night.  They were sensational!  This truly is an AMAZING recipe!
