Hi Pai! What do you exactly mean by 10 "rounds" of galangal? In your written recipe it says 10 "slices". Do you have the exact measurement of this ingredient please in metric or english system? Your ingredients list is a bit inconsistent. Thanks.

Southern style laksa is for the weak. Real laksa is from the north. And it use tons of fish!!!

Thanks for your great video as usual, I do love Singapore Laksa and also a big fan of Thai Tom Yum, I really love to create a new version of Laksa (Thai version :)) by combining these dishes, pls advise if it is ok to add less coconut milk while putting some evaporated milk together to make the soup lighter (not heavy as curry)? I also want to add kaffir lime leaves, sawtooth herb, coriander, laksa leaves, tomato to make the dish more Thai (fragrant and savory :000), what do you think? As for stock, is that possible to combine chicken broth with shrimp stock? LOL :0000

Hey, I love watching you… I also live in Vancouver. Please help me to know where I can buy, or make everything Laksa. I used to live in Au, and would travel to Thailand and Singapore. And I miss the food soooooo much! xo

Do you skim the top when you make the broth or does it just thin out as you cook it?

Sometimes they include hard boiled eggs.
