My mom adds a cup of small diced celery to the salad and it adds a perfect juicy crunch to it.

I still make my grandmother's version of this lime jello. Add crushed pineapple, chopped pecans, and diced celery.

I just recently found some of your "old" jello recipes. I just love them. Had some of them growing up but forgot about them. Thanks for bringing them back.

Can we refrigerate the jello instead of putting it in the freezer?

Loved the video! You have a soothing voice. My Mom made something like this but added cottage cheese and mayo and canned pineapple. We called it green stuff. Unfortunately she took the recipe with her when she died. Any idea how to make that work? Thank you again for the video.

I was born in 1956. My mother was a stay at home mother. Im so glad my mother did not work outside the home. She was a good cook. Had dinner at home every night. Always had a nice clean house to live in. Never heard my mom curse, never heard my parents argue, never seen my mom smoking or drink any alcohol. Life was so much better back then.

My recipe for lime jello salad is lime jello, creme cheese, crushed pineapple, marshmellows, and pecans. I also add 1 tlb. of lemon juice to my jello mix.

My mother used to make this with lime jello, cream cheese, home-made whipped cream, and pureed pears. She called it sea-foam salad. We still make this every Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter. But for Easter, we use lemon jello.
