INGREDIENTS:

  • 3 pounds pork shoulder or Boston butt roast

INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1: Prep the Pork

  1. Season the pork shoulder with salt and pepper on all sides.
  2. Place the sliced onions and minced garlic in the bottom of the slow cooker or large pot.
  3. Put the seasoned pork shoulder on top of the onions and garlic.

Step 2: Prepare the BBQ Sauce

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine BBQ sauce, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, and ground cumin.
  2. Stir well to form a thick sauce.

Step 3: Slow Cook the Pork

  2. Cook on low heat for 8 hours or high heat for 4 hours until the pork is tender and can be easily pulled apart.
